Executive Director - Head of Chile
Juan Pablo is an Executive Director and Head of the Chilean Office at SCP. Previously to joining SCP, he was a Senior Vice President at EY Chile leading the Investment Baking practice. He has more than 15 years of Corporate Finance experience in different leading roles in across Investment Banking, Asset Management and Wealth Management areas.
Juan Pablo started his career back in 2008 as an Investment Analyst in Wac Research, a multi-family office in Santiago de Chile, where he initially developed his career until becoming Portfolio Manager. In 2013 he moved as Assistance Chief Investment Officer to DDRio Inversiones, a family office related to Barbara del Rio Goudie (Shareholder of Falabella), where he designed the first Investment Policy of the family office. As a result of the Investment Policy and different achievements, he was promoted to Chief Investment Officer, in charge of all investment across different asset classes and regions. In 2017, Juan Pablo decided to refocus his career in the Investment Banking sector, initially taking the position of Financial Advisory Manager at Colliers International, where he led the corporate finance areas of M&A, Valuation and Debt, executing deals in real estate, food & beverage, pharma and infrastructure sectors. In 2019 he moved to Ernst and Young Chile as Senior Vice President where he led the execution of deals in different sectors such as forestry, broker insurance, ticketing, and medical devices, among others.
Juan Pablo holds an MBA from University of Cambridge, a Master in Finance from Universidad de Chile and a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Universidad de Chile.
